about

Two separate tracks from the Born Wired album, which I always thought should play as one - so I put ‘em together. Bend is just MM guitar fun - and Girls Like You started as a scrap of paper with the first two lines on it - which sat around here for close to two years, before I picked it up and thought “now why the HELL haven’t you done something with THAT?” 30 minutes later, a song was born. Features my attempt at a Robert Gordon type vocal (think “Red Hot”) - the only time I’ve consciously tried to adopt a vocal sound based on someone else. All in all, tons of fun, and the RNR track I’m probably most proud of.

about

Mark Marshall Kingston, New York

Like the other areas of Mark’s life, the music he makes is chameleon-like: wildly diverse, meticulously crafted songs that range from radio-ready pop to hard rock, piano-driven ballads to soundtrack-ish instrumentals, futuristic funk-jazz to clubby techno dance.

“I just want people to feel something when they hear my music...To get as much joy and emotion from it as I felt when I was making it.”
